Throughout 2026, Diamond Dynasty Cleaning has been proud to support Innisfil racer Angelo Launi as his season moved from provincial championship rounds in Ontario and Quebec to the Canadian national stage in Hamilton. At 12 years old, Angelo completed the RMC Ontario Mini MAX Championship third overall, then added a pair of fourth-place finishes at the Canadian Karting Championships in Mini ROK and Rotax Micro-Mini MAX.
Those numbers are already notable. The detail behind them is better: a national Rotax final spent largely in podium contention, the second-fastest lap of the race, and a finishing margin of only 0.232 seconds to third place. Now, with his Mini MAX chapter complete, the next step arrives quickly: a move into Rotax Junior and a return to Montreal later this month.

A podium built across a season
The Ontario result was not a single-weekend headline. It was the accumulated result of an entire championship campaign.

Angelo’s 2026 RMC Ontario campaign concluded at the Canadian Open in Quebec, where the final standings confirmed him third overall in Mini MAX, only six points behind second place. For a small, family-led racing program, the result provided a clear measure of progress across a demanding season of travel, preparation and competition.
It also gave the Canadian Championships a different context. Hamilton would not simply be another race weekend; it would be Angelo’s final major Mini MAX appearance before advancing into the next class.
The Ontario podium was later featured across local Village Media publications, including InnisfilToday, BradfordToday and BarrieToday, carrying a local Innisfil racing story to readers across the surrounding region.

Twenty laps inside the lead fight
In the Rotax Micro-Mini MAX national final, Angelo formed part of the early lead group before moving past Tristan Francisco for third on lap six. From there, he held a podium position deep into the race while Yousef Adi charged forward from the rear of the 27-kart field.
Adi’s recovery eventually reached Angelo on lap 18 and continued to second place one lap later. Angelo crossed the line fourth, 0.232 seconds behind the final podium position and 4.716 seconds from the national champion after 20 laps.
His Mini ROK final earlier that day also produced a fourth-place finish, giving Angelo two national top-four results across two different packages during the same Canadian Championship weekend.

The phrase on Angelo’s Lewis Hamilton-inspired helmet is more than a visual detail in the photos from his Ontario podium. It is one of the quieter pieces of personality carried into the season: a reminder that progression in racing is rarely linear, and that the next lap matters as much as the last result.

Karting at this level is measured in lap time, but lap time is produced by considerably more than the driver. Angelo races with his father, Frank Launi, serving as mechanic and coach, within a family environment connected to Innisfil Indy Karting.
The preparation happens away from the camera: setup changes, mechanical work, travel, testing, tires, fuel, difficult weekends and the decision to return again. The Canadian Championships represented the visible end of a Mini MAX campaign built through all of that less visible work.
